Speaker – Gwen Beren:
Hi, I wanted to quickly check in with everybody and talk about how marketing can help you when we are in this uncertain economic climate where we’re seeing some economic headwinds and rumbles about different things happening in our economy.
Digital Marketing
The most important thing to remember is that marketing helps to keep your company visible with both your current clients and recent past clients as well as helping new people to discover you. There are countless studies about how many businesses have grown during economic downturns and you can guarantee that those businesses did not cut back on their marketing when things started to get rough. So, here are a few ideas for you to use right now to make sure that your marketing is making an impact during these weird times.
Marketing Strategy
So first of all, have you let your new products out into the wild with your current clients and with your recent past clients? That is a great way to make sure that you’re capitalizing on relationships that you already have and make sure that you are impacting your own bottom line by keeping those people in the loop. So whether that’s through your social media marketing of people who already follow you or whether that’s through your email marketing, you want to make sure that your make that you’re getting the word out there about new products and new services or updated products and services or if it’s time to do some maintenance on one of the services that they hired you for.
Another great thing to do is reaching into new demographics, new target avatars. If you can position yourself, your company as a solution to someone’s problem right now, that’s going to make all the difference in the world. One of the things that we’re going through at Illuminous is making sure we’re following StoryBrand scripting so positioning your client as the hero of the story and you as their guide so that you can help them get to where they want to go in their own business because everybody right now has questions about a lot of things, and I’m sure that your business can help answer some of those questions.
Marketing in a Recession
So I hope this has been helpful. Just keep in mind, you don’t want to cut back on your marketing during an economic downturn because that is the thing that’s going to get you through the economic downturn and not really be the thing that’s going to save you a ton of money. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know. Thank you so much.
